People with disabilities on labour market

Number of people with disabilities active on a labour market compared to working-age population is in Poland significantly below the EU average.  The reasons for that are many obstacles for disabled people’s successful professional activation. The biggest one is among others systemic barrier (for example changeability of regulations or ineffective education system), but also mental barrier (attitude towards work or stereotyped image of disabled people). On the other hand, the data from State Fund for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled shows that in the last years number of businesses interested in hiring disabled people has increased.

The experts during the panel “People with disabilities on labour market”  will discuss a system of hiring disabled people and instruments of support. Among other topics there will be a discussion about situation of disabled person as an entrepreneur and social economy as a chance for social and professional integration  of people with disabilities. The session substantial partner is Marek Plura – Member of the European Parliament.

The session will be held as a part of the V European Congress of Small and Medium-Size Enterprises on 13.10.2015 at 11.30-13.30 inthe International Congress Centre in Katowice. The participation in the session as well as in the Congress is free of charge. We encourage to register on:
