American Day 2024 – Let's Celebrate Together the 50th Anniversary of the US Consulate General in Poland!

We would like to cordially invite you to the sixth edition of American Day, organised by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice. This unique event, aimed at promoting the partnership between the United States and Poland, provides an excellent opportunity for dialogue and cooperation between the SME sectors of both countries. American Day is a space to exchange knowledge, build relationships and explore new investment opportunities.

This year's edition is special - together with the US Consulate General we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of its presence in Poland! On this occasion, American Day has been included in the prestigious programme of the European Congress of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (ECSME).

Why is it worth taking part?

During American Day, participants will have the opportunity to meet representatives of the US diplomatic service, experts from chambers of commerce and business, and business leaders who have been successful on the US market. It is also a chance to take part in workshops, panel discussions and networking sessions, which will help to better understand the specifics of cooperation with partners from overseas.

Special guests at the previous edition included Gary Schumann, Consul for Political and Economic Affairs at the US Consulate General in Krakow, Dr Sabina Klimek, Vice President of the North-East Polish-American Chamber of Commerce based in New York, and Darla Brown, Director of Foreign Trade Services at the US Embassy in Warsaw. Other speakers included the presidents of Polish-American business organisations, who shared their experiences and insights on expanding into the US market..

The event concluded with the opening of an exhibition by Joanna Pottle, an American visual artist whose work captures the spirit of cross-cultural relations.
